African diaspora initiatives in Austria carrying out valuable work. This remains largely invisible and unpaid. During the event ideas were discussed to change this.
The event was held against the backdrop of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, which took place in Glasgow from October 31 to the 12 November 2021.

Women from Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia and South Sudan, who live mostly in exile, met to establish a new network for peace. The gathering in Vienna was hosted by the VIDC, some women joined online.
