Within our diaspora focus, the VIDC invited Somali activists to report about their activities. A study on the Somali communities in Austria will be presented in November. A diaspora conference is planned in June 2021.
The event provided a better understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic on the African regions and the response by African institutions. Furthermore, it focused on the unequal access to medicine and future vaccines.
